Alain Jaume, Chateauneuf-Du-Pape, Vieux Terron 2016
|Style||Full bodied, big and strong. Perfect Winter weekend wine. Best with food and decanted.|
|Grape||85% Grenache, 10% Syrah, 5% Mourvèdre.|
|Food||Red meats, game, stews, sausage or duck cassoulet etc. Works well with spicier foods as well; chilli con carne, tomato based pastas, beef bourguignon.|
An intense purple, with ripe red fruit aromas, such as sweet black cherry. The palate reveals clearly the aromatic complexity: spices and black fruit balanced with soft tannins. The finish is long with liquorice and pepper, raspberries, star anise and hints of cinnamon.
