End of Dry January

At last back to the drinking....

We have put together some wines which will not only be helpful for drinking to celebrate the end of dry January but also celebrate Valentines day too!

As you all know by now, Vondeling Erica changed its name to Vondeling Monsonia for its 2015 vintage. However, we have found (don’t ask) another pallet of the Award winning Vondeling Erica 2014 hiding in the depths of our warehouse and its available to you now.

 Erica 2014;

The wine has a rich deep red / purple colour. The wine has an opulent nose of bright violets, dark fruit, smoky oak -rich in cloves, nutmeg and coriander seeds. Svelte dark fruit on the paalte with in chocolaty richness and undertones of earthy truffles. Erica has a full, viscous texture and a long complex finish. This wine can be paired with de-boned leg of lamb barbequed over a hot bed of coals or a hearty, slow cooked rolled pork belly with root vegetables and herb roast tomatoes.
