A red ruby colour with an intense nose of black and red berries and a lightly oaked taste of blackberries and raspberry. 80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet sauvignon. A red ruby colour with an intense nose of black and red berries and a lightly oaked taste of blackberries and raspberry. 13% ABV. VINIFICATION Grand Barrail Cuvée Prestige is made in the limestone hills close to Blaye. Both young and older vines are mechanically harvested with an extra long maceration period to extract tannins and promote colour. The wine is aged in 20% new oak barrels for 12 months before fining, light filtration and bottling.
