A Schnapps like liqueur flavoured with a variant of the caraway seed; a wonderful digestif, at the end of a meal, served ice cold.
The success of Mentzendorff Kummel is intrinsically linked to the Bacchanalian history of golf and golf clubs. Appearing in Victorian times, this clear, aniseed liqueur flavoured with caraway seeds is today found at most traditional golf clubs where players enjoy a post-round dose of ‘putting mixture’.
Enjoyed and appreciated outside of the golfing fraternity as a discerning digestif served ice cold, Mentzendorff Kummel also intrigues cocktail-crazed bartenders who experiment with its delicate and exotic flavouring.
