Flashes of red and hues of blue create the regal purple colour so characteristic of Shiraz. Aromas of sweet black cherry a hint of blueberry, and sultry smoky nuances lift from the glass, carrying through to the palate and linger with depth and resonance.

VINEYARDS AND VINIFICATION

Our Shiraz is made from family-farmed grapes in the Voor-Paardeberg region of Paarl. Hand-picked in the cool early morning, the fruit retains its vibrancy and flavourful integrity. The bunches are carefully destemmed to eliminate any green matter that could impart unripe notes to the wine, and then partially crushed. This approach enhances both the purity of fruit and the depth of colour.

Gentle pump-overs and moderate fermentation temperatures are applied to promote a plush and pliable palate. Much of the wine is matured in seasoned 500L French oak barrels, allowing the fruit and tannin components to integrate harmoniously. No new oak is used, ensuring that the natural purity of the fruit remains the focal point.
